Building Stuff and Making Things

A defining feature of anyone who works at Yeti is the need to create. Personally, I find my self worth is based on what I have made today; whether it be in the office or at home on the weekend.

This urge to make isn't what I would necessarily call "healthy" (sometimes it feels more like a burden) but when all is said and done nothing compares to the feeling of accomplishment from completing a project.

When we are interviewing possible new hires, co-ops or interns my favorite question to ask is what project they have finished lately. I'm not looking to get my mind blown by anything monumental- it could be as simple as rearranging your living room or hanging a photo on the wall, but being passionate about taking the reins and making things happen is a hallmark characteristic of someone we want on our team.
